It's been very long since i post. my blog isn't dead yet. been rather slack in my new outlet. I'm currently at Global Kitchen(gk) doing breakfast. The shift is damn shitty. I mean it. It from 4.30am to 2.30pm. At first, don't use to the timing of waking up and sleeping early, so I like sleep at 11 or 12 then wake up at 3am. but as the weeks pass by..use to it le..i can still remember a few days ago..i took mrt home, while i was at paya lebar station, i fell asleep, and guess what happened next, when i woke up, i was at paya lebar station again...haha, i was so tired that i slept from paya lebar back to paya lebar again..gk, i would say quite relax over there, just doing buffet breakfast, omelet station, and live wanton mee...very sian...everyday same thing..don't really get to learn much too...gotta get stuck for 2 months over thr...haiz..but manage to get to know quite a few friends over thr, which is good...nice people...people out thr...tc...will update again...soon

Just take a look at the tittle. Can you imagine how happy I am. It really shag working non stop for 2 wks without off days. But i managed to survive, without screwing up the coffee break for the crucial 3 days. Must thanks those aunties and bros that help me up. Although I didn't get to go F1 catering, but i do not think this is a waste. coz i do play a quite important role in those 3 days, i did my items with no errors. And manage to help out in the western set and F1 mise-en-place. Get to know a quite a few friends too, wuhoo..pretty girls...haha..

forgot to mention my newest achievement, I am the top 20 FIFA 08 PS3 player in Singapore.haha..curious why do i have the time to join this competition...lol..this competition was held on sat, prelimary match is to play against computer manu. and the top 20 of the competition get to enter to the final on sunday. On sat, released early coz everything is done on time, so was on my way to the mrt through marina square, i then came across this event held in the central area, decided to give it a try and the result ---> *drumsrolling* "........,......,.....Ruijie,........." are the top 20s of fifa o8.but i didn't go..coz of F1..F*#%..the prize is worth abt$3000.not cash..

so actually the main purpose of this post is to show off...haha...top 20 fifa 08 player in singapore...hahaaha..will update tomorrow...bloody shag..work from 0700-0000....haha...17 hrs..haha

Busy week...

Main kitchen will be damn busy for this week. 3 days of F1 is also equal to hellweek. With the F1 going on, MK do not need to deal with other event. A 120 pax function on wed => close one eye to them. The actual busiest day will be on sunday, everything just jam on sunday, cocktail and 800 set dinner in house, not including outside catering. So I can actually imagine how chaotic the situation will be, everybody rushing like chicken, chiong here chiong there. My chef already told me my job for this week will be soley in charge of the coffee break for the business floor and pacific club floor. Hope I don't screw up or if i screw up, my chef will screw me...no joke..he said it infront of my face..haha..but after a month of training, i think should not be a problem for me..can handle..

yesterday release on time not early. During the journey home, I almost overshot the mrt, then have dinner with my family, reached home about 9.30, look at the score on chelsea and manu, at that time manu is leading 1-0...guess who the scorer, Park Ji Sung, First Asian that is in the top 4 club in EPL...before he score the goal, my bro was saying he damn lousy like that also can lose the ball...and the next few mins he score the goal..me and bro went to check the precious record of the matches between all the top 4. Ji sung actually score against arsenal too..wth..most of the goal he score is very decisive..anyway, manu drew with chelsea in the end , and chelsea maintain a 85 matches home unbeaten record..both teams drop points and this mean Arsenal remain at top position..

Work has been fine. Next two weeks will be rather shag. Got my off days from friday till monday and also next week friday. After that it will be 9 days without off. As mentioned in the previous post--> F1 root of problem. Two full days Overtime= $$$=Shagshagshag . If you ever work in main kitchen, you will know, there are not much slacking. It work, work and even more work. Especially when you are trainee, even when you are very tired, you can't really ask for a 15 mins break. You will just continued to work work work. Enough of whinning, anyway IT ALL FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. I guess this is the life of a trainee. According to the training roster, main kitchen is the only place to click as many overtime as possible. I am so damn lucky that I posted to main kitchen for September. Wuhoo..OT is just so shiok esp when you work full days..1 day of 12hrs Ot is almost 1/6 of my monthly salary. but first thing first, you must be as fit as me to do Overtime la..haha.

This 3 days of off day, I got to spent it meanifully..haha..sat, went out with the budders union..(adh never go), watch movie, carl's jr , tou hua and butterfly, tcsing wif budders. Cover quite a few topics, ranging from personal childhood memories to even political. Detailed information will not be share, PC. I think gordon and der can go speaker corner, both of them are fabulous speaker. I will vote for them during election, only if they go for election la..haha..today..mooncake festival..gonna stay at home for dinner. quite a few things to kao dim.

GPA will not be as good as previous one..but should be able to maintain above 3.2. but my desired GPA will be 3.5. haha should be alright la..i think.

One month to go in main kitchen.I would say so far so good. No "bombing". More responsibilities. This month will be rather busy due to F1. Duty roster was out in thursday, found out that I get 3 straight off days from 20-22 Sep. From then on, it hell week, everyday 6am report until 6 or 7pm then go..maybe even later. So this few coming off days before F1, I will want to have a good rest and good time with my family and budders. My brother will be back home maybe 2-3 hrs later. Wuhoo, long time since I see him, and of course the present the he bought for me..Wii, wallet and maybe even more. Just heard from my mum, my bro spend like a few K during the 1.5months, insane.All the best..I hope he know it takes him a very long time to save the money..haha..sound like i am the elder brother now. Saturday and Sunday will be my off day..which means today is the last day of work...wuhoo.Sat will definitly reserve for family day. Sunday not too sure..Monday start work at 12pm..so can get more slp during the wkend..i need the sleep..

20 mins to start work..got to do quite a lot of stuff today:
-Collect item for 22nd
-deep fry the item
-Do the salsa
-salmon filo pastry
-chicken pacenta
-send food to canteen
-set up buffet

very long time nvr post le..not having a very good week in panpacificsingapore..the tension is rising..the stress in me is accumulating..there are so much more things i got to improve on..have you ever feel very stress whenever you see certain person..just don't know when i got this feeling..i don't feel good...i feel stress and pressure whenever those guys are ard..i will feel more relax when they are not ard..i can do things my way..more confident...and each time they are ard..i will try my best to avoid them..i know this cannot carry on any more..2 months in this outlet..i should try my best to change their impression on me..let them discover the potential in me..the hidden talent..and not giving them any more chances to find my loop holes..i know this path is not gonna be easy..but i will do my very best..i will not give up my dream..i will not let those who believe in me down..i swear..i will gonna get better each day...those people that i mention above..listen carefully, I am Low RuiJie..i will not get beaten easily...i will only grow stronger each time u guys c me..i shall not fear u anymore...

NXT DAE....each day, mk suppose to provide food for the clubflor and business floor lounge..i will jot down what things to take and the sauce i may need to make...guess what happen..that day suppose to make a 2 portion mango salsa..(a change in menu)..so i got source for ingredient..cut shallot, chilli, until mango, that person came and indirectly tell the other person why i use so many mango....so i just tell her it was stated in the menu..but she told me that don't have..and ask me to do just one portion..so i continue doing..but i am very super duper confirm i am rite...and went to check again...and yeh i am so rite...one of the menu item change that day..nobody know...i bring out this matter to another person(same grp of people but higher rank)..and he told that girl..wuhoo..i feel like at that very moment, my convidence is back, is just like i just score the equalising goal..before i wanted to tell the other person. that was actually one thing came across my mind..i should heck care abt it..and jus do 1 portion..but my heart and conscience tells me that i am a good man, honest and responsible person, i will not do that...and i am glad i didn't do that.....EXPERIENCE IS NOT EVERYTHING...me 3 wks over here..u guys..how many months and even years over here..didn't even bother to check the stuff everyday to c any changes..assume everything is the same everyday..u guys simply don't respect ur job..irresponsible fellow..i don't think u guys do not know the consequences of it..not trying to claim any credit from this incident...what if i keep quiet abt it..not just the clubfloor don't have food..the guest are entittled to it..and they found out there are no food...what the hell.vicious cycle..it affects every department..not just our own..and in the whole the reputation of the hotel will eventually goes down..seriously i thought of this when i decided to bring out to that something was missing that day..i am glad that i did the right thing..i listening to my heart....

Listen to your heart is very different from listen to ur mind..i finally know the difference..i finally understand that...i think i have grow more mature after this incident..i will not look at the surface of that thing only, i guess this is one of the ways to survive in this competitive and lack of warmth singapore working life...i will strive...i promise...i nvr broke my promise b4..nvr...seriously why i sound so serious in this post..lol...bring it on...i will just feel more motivated...each time those guys "bomB" me...come on..

Quite a while since I blog.After a month of anticipation...Finally, 4/6/2008 was the first day of Pan Pacific Singapore orientation. Quite excited and happy. So don't need to work for 3 days..wuhoo..First day as usual, ice breaker..and lot of talks..boring...got to know what are the first impression of me from other people..ok majority of the comments seems good..cute?! friendly;) dimply(not too sure what that mean..) ok quite expected..haha..Second day, talks and tour of the back of the house, intresting..not as dry as first day..ice breaker...there were 3 tables, my table consist of all the chef..so other people were like saying our table very quiet..so me and my shatec friend decided to add something different from other tables..as usual each person introduce themselves to the speaker...but until our table, we do not do self introduction, however, we introduce other person in our group..so other people were like laughing...(chef are creative).. had lunch in Global kitchen...fine dinning restaurant..food over there is ok..i would give very gd if the food was more hot..Last day, end quite late..7.45 i guess..but not the lastest in all orientation (8.30 was the lastest)..played team bonding game..1 game that took all of us 2hrs to complete it..the game look simple but it was not easy at all.. the game is as follow..

feel like slping...even though i slept "early" at abt 12.30am, for me considered early..and woke up slightly later..cause my papa send me to work..but still feel very tire..nxt off day on thurs..still have to endure...very tire sia...anyway yep..hope todae end early.. my papa come fetch me then go eat dinner. I hope their relationship is getting better, gonna tell her this pcs of news when she's back..

anyway yesterday discover something nice to eat..childhood food, when i was still living in bedok reservoir, my family usually goes to Heng Soon those zi ca store in coffee shop..the food over thr is very nice.and yep, yesterday my mum say let try out the new store that my bro recomend, I think got some National day event going on, so business was exceptionally good, full house...actually wanted to go and try it another day, but we are just too lucky..some people went off,wuhoo..nvr regret waited for that 10mins. we ordered their specialtly, so delicious man...thrash the other stores in tampines...i mean it..at first my parents was like isn't that lady boss from bedok...they wasn't sure, so i asked them to asked to clear their doubts..and yeh the truth is they were from bedok..so nxt time when my friends comes to tampines, confirm jio them to 2 stores which i think serve the best food in tampines...

1.The one I mentioned above..not too sure abt the name..gonna check from my mum(she got the name card) must try: honey pork ribs, caipo tofu, deep fried jackfruit with assorted seafood and condiment..

2.CHEN xIANG bak chor mee..(soup)..best to eat during breakfast or supper...

They are starting to talk to each other, so I think this is better than ignoring each other, pretending that the other person is transparent. I guess this is a good start..for the past 1 day, my life is without my bro and sis..they are out of town..so cool, F**king envy them..my bro gonna go 3 countries. Sailing from US Hawaili to Japan - Shanghai and back to singapore..omg..soo good. my sis went to KL for competition. sometimes it is really true, u will only realise that soemthing is good when it is gone..the whole house seem more quiet and less lively, without my bro 'irritaing" laughter, and also my sis attitude..everything seem so abnormal..so i guess i really miss them..esp my bro..(he gonna get something for me) haha. yep btw started at new station yesterday, Main Kitchen aka mk..it seems that my senior is pretty true, if u can survive HTL, then mk is not a problem for me..I will be posted to mk for 2 months. first month will be quite relax..not much event coz month of ghost..wuhoo...everday office hour from 8-5.30..come on man..i will definetly miss mk when after the 2 months..but every gdthing will come to an end..september will be wtf ..F1.....haiz..hope to gain more exp through the F1 period, lots of function going on...yep as usual all pan pac staff are very easy going, not much temper...mk sous chef is pretty funky...good news for my buddy.. my chef say most likely i will off every sat and sun unless special function...wuhoo..SHIT my back suddenly very pain.bad omen...

can't wait till nxt wk and end of month...orientation= slacking no work.. end of month = $$$( more than first month,, split shift allowance)wahahahaa...can;t wait..wuhoo..

i can't think of any title for this post..so many things happen this few days..last day at HTL..very confuse, very sad not becoz of HTL..i don't know...very lost..really unexpected..why do this have to happen on my family..how I gonna face them when my sis and bro are away..i need someone to guide me..really don't know what will happen..hope that every thing will be back to normal..but i don't it not gonna be easy..what done is done..i really wish for a good outcome...

ok going off to work soon..start at 10 so just a fast note..crap sia..first day of work after my off day, found out I lost my name tag, bought a new one for $7..shit, no need to pay on the spot, but deduct from salary sia...suai..I hope I lost it not misplace it..also get to find out that my next training outlet will be main kitchen..starting on 1st August at 8am (bold it coz if i forget i can refer to my blog.lol) This also means that my HTL training will be till next thurs 31st july, so fast gonna pass my 1st month.Then that person who is incharge of all the trainee also ask me how the work..i was like sian and stun on the spot..just 1 word came out from my mouth.."ok lor"...lol..but manage to elaborate a bit..actually learn quite alot of things there, the ultimate fried rice method, whereby you can actually see each and every grain of rice coated with egg.I tried the HTL method 2 times, and it works...but just need to work a little more on the taste...haha..

Can't Get to Sleep..lol

see the time of my post..it almost 0400.I just can't get into bed. So after watching few episodes of Catch Me Now(Hongkong Drama), I decided to post a short entry. First of all, as mentioned on the previous post, my ear got a bit of problem. And now I am confused whether the problem is from my ear or my voice. My voice sound very different from usual, so I don't know whether is it my cough or flu causes it. Anyway, yesterday nothing much happen. Slept until 1130am, kana disturb from my slp at 7.30pm..mum came into my room, ask my bro to close the window and blah blah..Worst still, after my mum went off to work, my bro woke me up, and ask me do the things...I was like, you know. WTF. For those who know me well enough, I am a good guy, I will feel difficult to reject some1. so i just woke up and shut all the window, and continue slping. After i woke up, play abit of PS3, have late breakfast, then wash up the dishes that was left the night before. Speaking of that, remind me of something, my mum will sms me that she will leave some food for me, so i do not need to buy any supper. And on tues night, when i reached home, i saw this plate that only contained garlic. once again I was like WTF. At least, when u all want to save food for me, also no need like that ma..haha..dun even have gravy left. only garlic..and yeh continue what happen on wed.. went to bukit batok to collect food hygiene cert. having this cert means that i am safe to handle and serve food..so lame...after that meet up with my mum and have dinner..that abt it..

20th July 2008 DAYS with cough- 3

For people who don't know what 36 means. Hai Tien Lo is basically split into two kitchen at 36th and 37th storey. As mentioned before, 36th is for preparation and 37th for cooking and serving. Basically, I am back to supporting role. ROFL.

Same routine just that no stock needed to collect. Cut vegetable. Guy out there, I am not using the western long chef knife, I am using the chinese chopper.. new experience..i could still remember that during the first few days, I can't get use to the chopper, therefore ended up with blister on my fingers. But now, I can control the knife, and not letting the knife takes control of me..haha( although still not that good). Supposed to play soccer with my collegue, but decided to skip it, felt tired and sick. Having this cough like 3 days ago, and now it getting from bad worse. I don't know whether is it the cough that affect my ear too. Now my ears hurt too..nbcb

21st July 2008 DAYS with cough -4

same thing . same routine. same ppl. but manage to get sub in to 37th todae. As 36th has nothing much to do. One of my collegue(AH B) ask me to go up to help out. Right timing for me to go up. When I go up, it like into the climax of the movie. The most exciting part. Everything order need to be ready for serving. Unlike the usual 3 ppl using the wok, there are actually 5 ppl into the cooking.is like cool or what..so manage to learn quite a bit up thr..still need to work on my speed.haiz..anyway gd news for me. got to know that i got the chance to cook on my last day at Hai Tien Lo(HTL). But something puzzled me a lot. ( As i noticed during the past two weeks, other people last day is people cook for them, wheras mine is i Have to cook)-> so unfair..lol but i can't wait for that day to come..

Time to train my hor fun cooking skills.

just to add on tmr and thur i off. slept at 2am everyday like from last fridae...then woke up at 7+... i deperately need a good sleep....

The day before yesterday, I told my sister that i started blogging again. She replied me:" 3 mins interest" something like that. i won't qizhi down..(3rd time) and will prove my sis wrong.

As i mentioned in the previous entry, i am now at pan pacific singapore(PPS) Hai Tien Lo. In Hai Tien Lo, there are basically 2 storey for kitchen due to space constraints. The lower floor is mostly use for storage and peparation. while the upper 1 is for the cooking and service. After 2 wks of stock collecting, cutting of veg , storing...etc..I was finally "promoted" to the upper 1, promote coz not enough people rofl. Sometimes, I do feel redundant..but yesterday i finally found my worth and existent..people trust you and thank you for helping him..the feeling is just so shiok..

My thoughts and feelings for this 2 wks of attachment. 4 words.. Not Easy At All..seriously being a chef is not as easy as you thing it may be.. A chef must be determined, have good stamina, speed, perserverance..etc..People in PPS are good, friendly, polite people. They greet you with smile whereever and whenever you walk pass them.. they are very bonded, more like friends relationship than boss and subordinate. So conclusion, I am fortunate to work in PPS. i have made the right choice.(still too early to say so?!)lol

I guess i will stop here, break endind soon.. going to work..

ok my last post is like....09 dec 2006...it about 1.5 yrs ago omg....i have almost forgetten that this blog actually exists...(until qiqi reminded me).

I have to start off this entry by apologising to my sis, although i know it's too late to apologise, it's too late, anyway i'm sorry.. many things had actually happen during this 1.5 yrs..o level over(kind of screwed it..), work, get into SHATEC, until the most recent work attachment...i will not write about the past...that no point to talk about it, since it over..l0l..

About my new school SHATEC, I don't really like it. I don't like the teachers over there, and the system is kind of corrupted. Many people have asked me why I don't want to go TP, now I kind of regret why i never join TP. I think TP own SHATEC.

TP VS SHATEC

TP is nearer to my house
TP school fees are far more cheaper
TP students get to enjoy student concession
Last but not least, TP got pretty girls..(personal preference)

In conclusion: TP..ownage..

There is only 1 reason why I don't regret joining SHATEC.-> all the good friends I made in SHATEC.

I am currently having my work experience(WE). I am Pan Pacific.. Pan Pacific Singapore is where I have my WE now.. I am at Hai Tien Lo restaurant.it a chinese cantonese restaurant. Heard of it? it quite famous i think..anyway feel free to drop by..I doubt I have any chance doing any cooking. most of the time will be spent doing mise-en-place(preparation). How to prepare a pot of good tea?

How to prepare a pot of good tea

1: Layout tea saucers, arrange the fragrance cups and tasting cups in a row. Do not leave any space between the cups.

2: Warm the tea pot with boiling water

3:With the water in the teapot, warm the fragrance cups and tasting cups.

4: Put a suitable amount of tea leaves into the teapot using a tea scoop.

5: Hold up and empty water in the cups with the tea clip. Place the drinking cups onto the tea saucer.

6: Fill to the brim of teapot with hot water in a circular motion. Cut away bubbles over the brim with the lid of teapot.

7: The first brew is usually not for drinking. Instead it is poured into the fair cup and then pour evenly over the teapot. This serves to enhance the teapot, where over long period, helps it develop a natural shimmer.

8: Pour hot water into the teapot for the second brew, the brew for tasting. The brew is infused for about thirty seconds before serving. Skill is executed to achieve a tea which is even in colour and taste.

9: Serve tea from the teapot into fragrance cups. Wipe the base of fragrance cups. Place fragrance cup on each tea saucer and serve the guests.

This post will be about my work. 1st December 2006, this is the date that I will always remember. This is the day where I started my first job. So on 1st Dec, I woke up at about 9am, and then do the usual things. As my work starts at 5 in the evening, therefore I got some free time in the afternoon to do my own stuff. I ate breakfast and begin my household chores. I finished all the work at about 3pm in the noon. So take a shower and went off to work. Take MRT to Tanjong Pagar and walked to my work place. When I first arrived there, I was a little bit nervous as I was the youngest among all the other employees. So I went in and "punch" card and went to change to my working attire. After that, went for an orientation, to familiarise my work place. I think reaching about 8pm. suddenly, a lot of people came. As there were only 4 of us in the night shift. I cannot afford to slack, so I helped them to clear tables and bill also. At around 10pm, I was told to help to take last order, so went around the whole stall. After that, I went around to help people Mai Dan. Some customers even gave me tips, quite good to work here actually. After that, we cleaned the area and went home. By the way, my colleagues were good to me. They were approachable too. So I find that it actually nice to work there. Anyway, today I will be also going to work at night again. As for the pay, by right they suppose to pay us every 5th day of each month. Since I never work tomorrow, hope they will pay it today. I will greatly appreciate if they do so. Laugh out loud!

This post was about yesterday. I woke up at about 10am in the morning. Play a bit of PSP until about 1pm. We then decided to go to my cousin house to play mahjong. It then started to rain so reached there about 2.30pm. We started to play; I was so lucky that I won man guan in the first round. I was considered quite well since I won some money. As I could remembered the very last time I played mahjong at my cousins house I think win negatively which means that I lost all my capital. Laugh out loud! But I came prepared this time became the ONLY winner. So we played until 5.30pm when my auntie called and asked whether wants to meet her in the interchange for dinner. I then called home to ask my father not to call our shared. We then meet my auntie my cousin mother in the interchange and went Han’s to eat. After dinner, I and my sister accompanied my auntie to Singtel for my cousin phone checking. We then realise the problem was not only affecting my cousin phone, it was affecting the entire Singtel user who uses 3G phone. After the trip to Singtel, all of us decide to go home to catch Project Superstar. On the way to interchange my auntie again bought some kueh for us to bring home. She insisted to buy for us; of course we cannot reject her good offer. So went back home watch Project Superstar and played PSP again. I always thought that I am lucky to have such a great and wonderful auntie. She always treats me and my brother and sister like her own children. She is the BEST auntie in the world!!!!!!!

Anyway...if anyone of you watched Project Superstars this the trend me and my brother spotted for the results.

Girls that were out yesterday and the week before are both form the same pair of duet singing together.
37 points is a curse for all the contestants in the quarter finals. As I could still remember, last year Project Superstar quarter finals the male contestant that got 37 was the first contestant to be out form the contest
Last but not least, anyone who sings LeeHom's songs for quarter final will also out from the competition. Yesterday and the year before were a good example.

So when you people watch the show, look up for the above trends. See if it's real. Laugh out loud. So that the end for this post. By the way, I am going to start work today. Hurray!!

Meeting up primary school friends..

Before meeting up with primary school friends:

It's been a long time since I meet up my primary school friends. I think we have about 4 years never see each other. Due to several reasons like: busy with school life; preparing examination; CCAs and other sorts of thing. I was phoned by one of my good buddy on Monday. He asked me whether want to meet up. Since we have not meet up for a very long time, I agreed to go. Yesterday night, my good buddy called me to confirm the time. I don't know that the call was a conference. Then a stranger voice suddenly appeared in the call. I don't even know who that was. The "stranger" was speaking mandarin, and he called my name. I then asked who he is. He said he is Edward (one of my good buddy then in pri school). I was so shocked. After so many years, I don't even recognise his voice. It been so many years since we met up, I wonder how much we had change over the years. So I am quite looking forward for the outing. I believe that this outing will definitely be totally different from our last outing (which is abt 4 years ago).

After the outing

I am back home now. Just met my primary school buddy. All of them change a lot. One of them even dye his hair gold colour. First thing in the morning, Imet edward at Tampines MRT. So we took the train down to Dhoby Ghaut to meet the other two people. When I first met him after so many years, I think we felt like strangers towards each other. Both of us kept quiet until we enter the train. Both of us then tried to start a topic to talk about. So we talk about our O level, school life etc..so it went on smoothly, better than I expected. All of us met together then went to catch Casino Royale 007. The movie was quite nice, and the scene when James Bond was torture was quite funny too--> a bit to your right, Pls help me scratch my b***s. After the movie, had lunch. After lunch, we then talk about our primary school life, what happen to our teachers and primary schoolmates now and discuss about our future and ambitions. That about the met up. All of us then went different way home. Although the outing end quite early, but I find that it was an enjoyable day. It will definetly be fun to meet up with old pals. That about it for this post..

So let start up this post by wishing Shane and Ryan a Happy belated Birthday! Yesterday party at CCK (Chua Chu kang) Shane house. About 1.30pm, we meet at yew tee mrt station. There were about 6 of us, I think. As most of us live at the east area. Therefore travelling to yew tee was a very tiring task. Sit at the Mrt bench till your a** pain laugh out loud. But it was quite lucky for me. Thanks to my bro, he told me that is a much shorter way to go yew tee. So all of us met there at 1.30pm. Shane then picked us up to his house. We went to the clubhouse, the clubhouse was quite similar to HQZ one. The game room includes a pool table carom table and also a table for playing cards or mahjong. Since there were abt 6 of us at that moment. 2 play pool and the other 4 played carrom. I think Jiu Siang kept pestering Shane for the mahjong sets. So I think Shane borrowed from his neighbour to fulfil JS wish. As time passed, more people came. So the games room started becoming a gambling den. Two group of people playing cards and the rest playing pool and slack around the sofa. By the way, as we are playing, Shane had to keep going to the MRT station to guide people to his house. The distance between his house to the train station was not short. A walk will take about 7 mins to 10 mins, so quite pity Shane. Back to the games room, as I was saying abt the mahjong sets earlier on. Me, JS, ADH and Greg start to play mahjong. I am not too sure whether JS know how to play mahjong. But I am glad sit next to me...He kept "feeding" me tiles that I want. So eventually I became the biggest winner. After 1 "wind" Greg felt tired and ADH felt that it was not very challenging so we stopped playing. We then started playing cards. Adh was like throwing the cards all over the place and at JS face. I quite pity JS because ADH kept scolding him Idiot. I also don't know why Adh doesn’t like JS. Somebody to enlighten me. Anyway all of us stayed at the games room until 6.30pm. We then proceed to Shane house to put our valuables. BBQ finally starts. Thanks to Shane mother father and his auntie. We do not need to bbq our own. Instead we go there to enjoy the foods that were prepared earlier on. After the bbq, eng Kwan, Ryan, Kevin I think, drag Shane to the “baby" pool and throw him to the pool. As the pool was quite shallow, I think Shane hurt his knee, hope he is alright. Maybe he bluff all of us, Shane is always a good actor. Aaron finally arrive when we are about to finish the bbq. So some of us went back to Shane house to play cards and watch television. While the rest continue to eat. Okay then abt 9+ all of us gathered near the bbq pit to wait for Shane to cut his cake. The cutting of cake then marks the end of the CCK party. Took some photos with Shane and all. Credit to our camera man Jacob. After that, some of us went home and some of them continue their night life......

Lastly, thanks Shane for being an excellent host and for his hospitality. I think all of us enjoyed the day.

Job hunting

Hello everybody! This is my new and first blog. Hope you guys like it. (:
Woke up quite early this morning, went to check out the tea chapter website.
The website is not really updated but there's quite a lot of info inside. Then, had my breakfast and called Zhi Ping(the boss of tea chapter) up to make an appointment for interview. This is my first job interview, so was quite nervous. Mad an appointment about 1pm, so suay, it started raining then I rang him up again to change the time. Hope that he doesn't think that I'm lying to him. Change up and went for interview at tanjong pagar. Quite far from my house. Reached there quite early so went for early interview lor. Before I stepped in, found the teahouse quite elegant, quite high-class lah. Just go in and look for the person in charge. Haha, sort of imagine how he looked like before I went in for interview. However he looks beyond my imagination. He is f***ing tall man. Or rather in another words, I am short lah. Laugh out loud. I had a mini tour inside the tea house and learn to know that I'm going to undergo some training on brewing tea. My job scope includes :

Washing the plates
Serving the customers
Teach the customer how to brew tea.
Clean the area / shop
Speaking Mandarin ^^

Heard that the shop was quite profitable and knew that the fee for learning how to brew tea is $100. But I get to learn for free. (: And also, I have to wear the old old traditional kind of clothing. Quite a new experience though. Anyway, I'm only doing this during weekends. Hope to get experiences through this job bah. Last but not least, thanks Qi Zhi and his Papa for recommending this job to me. Thank you. (:
